Colorful and flamboyant, Paradise Palms is widely celebrated as Las Vegas’ favorite desert modern, residential development! With eye-catching designs and luxe living, the neighborhood proved a natural fit for the midcentury Las Vegas elite. Today, the popularity of the neighborhood continues among architectural and midcentury enthusiasts, and its design has largely been attributed to architects Palmer + Krisel of Palms Springs fame…but who was true master behind the plan?? Discover this and more on a 90 minute walking tour.
Participants will:
* Uncover the hidden origins and architect of "Paradise Palms Estates," the earliest tract of Paradise Palms
* Discuss Las Vegas' explosive midcentury population and development boom!
* Learn about the Desert Modern style: Its origins, common features, and how and where to find it in Las Vegas!
* Celebrate the stories of Paradise Palms' most famous and glamorous residents.
All Nevada Preservation Foundation Tours are led by local-history loving volunteers.. Proceeds support Nevada Preservation Foundation's mission to preserve and share Las Vegas' unique history and architectural heritage.

- All events take place rain or shine! Please check the weather for appropriate dress.

- This event involves significant walking! Comfortable walking shoes recommended.

- Registrants must be at least 14 years of age
- Minors must purchase a ticket, and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
