TOUR, TOAST, AND TALK- ATOMIC STYLE!!!!

Join Nevada Preservation Foundation and Atomic Liquors for drinks and a discussion surrounding Atomic Testing and its cultural impact on southern Nevada.

TOUR:

The night will begin with a short behind the scenes tour of the Atomic Liquors campus.

TOAST:

Try the drink feature, the "Hunter S. Mash!"  This whiskey smash includes Old Crow bourbon, ginger syrup, Aperol, mint, and lemon. It's named for Hunter S. Thompson, who frequented Atomic Liquors.  (All drinks available for purchase; not included in free admission.)

TALK:

Following the tour and drink, join us for a salon-style discussion moderated by Zoe Camper.  The roundable discussion will explore the greater context of atomic testing and 1950s tourism, and finally, the fallout and eventual end of above-ground testing.  Discussion will also reference the impact of the "atomic age" on local architecture and cultural heritage.

PRE-EVENT PREP:

Following registration, check your inbox for an E-BLAST of fun prep materials!  You will be sent links to short videos and articles.  Check out these materials in advance of the event in order to make the most of the discussion.
